All The Flowers Around the Block.....

This has been a busy week/2 weeks! (I'll have a Week In Pictures post up before too long!)

My Grandparents are here and I have been taking many walks with Grandpa and siblings, These are pictures from just one walk around the block!

 (We walk a different way almost everyday so we are seeing new scenery everyday)

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! 

We spent memorial day weekend with family out of town and got back around noon today 

(Which is why this post is SO LATE ;P Sorry)

I thought I'd get a few pictures at the cemetery for a Memorial Day post

 (there was a cemetery right at the end of their road!) 

It was so sweet and sad.....Yesterday I was taking pictures at the cemetery and saw this elderly woman sitting on a a gravestone in front of a loved one's grave. So sad.......And sweet...

All The Weird Things I Eat For Breakfast! =)

Well...I guess that's one of my quirks! =) I'll eat just about anything I would normally eat, for breakfast! =D  (One good the thing about having a big family is there are lots of leftovers! =)

My Week In Pictures #3!

Hi Everyone! Sorry about the brief blogging break! ;) Busy week! 

First off I want to say that I am super proud of my Dad! Last Saturday (Not yesterday but the weekend before) He ran a 5K race and finished in 30 min. and 51 Sec.! Way to go Dad (This was also his first 5K ever)

This man in the wheelchair was in the 5K and finished in the first half of people! Wow!

Mexican Mashed Potato Casserole

This is one of the "quick" meal I came up with recently! 

(The family loved it so I thought I would share it here!=) 

I use two greased 9x13" pans (So if you want a smaller amount just cut the

 recipe in half and do one pan)

(hamburger goes first)

Ingredients...

1. Pre-cooked hamburger

2. two cans green beans

3. two cans diced tomato's

4. two cans chili beans

5. two box's of mashed potato flakes

Then the green beans...

I tried to make the layers even.....

Diced tomato's next, I would recommend draining the tomato's first.

(I didn't do that the first time and in overflowed into the bottom of the oven ;( lol)

Then the chili beans.......

Start the mashed potato's at the same time as the casserole......

I put a tsp. of baking powder in my potato's to make the really fluffy.....

I added seasonings to the top from a Mom's homemade spice mix (It was in a grinder)

Spice Mix Ingredients

(Celtic salt, Pepper, Dill weed, Dill seed, Rosemary, Dried Onions, Dried Garlic, 

Red Pepper and Savory)

Bake it in the oven at 350 degree for 45 min. 

Yum!

You might want to put a cookie sheet with sides under it the first few times until you know how much of each thing to use..

One night we had storms moving in and we tried to get pictures of the clouds coming over the moon (as you can see, it didn't work very well :( oh well)
