In our area seeing the first Crocus is one of the first signs of spring! And as you can tell....
.....OUR FIRST SIGN OF SPRING IS HERE!! :)
We don't even have all of the colors up yet but I LOVE taking pictures of the ones that are up :)
It was so fun to find them already coming up when I first checked this year.....
In other years we have watched for several weeks before seeing even the
tip of one coming up.........
This last Saturday we looked and could tell that one or two would be opening the next day....
But when we looked Sunday afternoon there were LOTS of them open! :)
I love how their pushing up through the leaves in the picture above....
You will probable be seeing another post with Crocus in it before too long! :P
Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteThank you! I love having flowers in the yard again! :) Thanks for stopping by! <3
DeleteI love crocuses. I do miss them here in Texas. I don't think I've seen any here in the area where we live. :-) Thank you for sharing your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteI do too! You might want to try ordering some bulbs online or in one of the stores down there (chances are that if they carry them in the stores, they also grow there) Thanks for stopping by! <3
DeleteI'm thinking they need more winter than we get here. But, it occurred to me that I could get some in the fall and plant them in a pot for some winter/spring color. I might have to refrigerate the bulbs for a few weeks, but that's doable for a one time treat. Hm.... I should make a note to myself in my daily planner for autumn. :-)
DeleteI was researching it today and that's what I found! They said that you need to refrigerate them for a few weeks each winter. :) You'll have to tell me if it works for you! <3
DeleteWe've had such a beautiful winter. I hope our spring is as wonderful!
