A Dog Named Sherlock!

My brother got a new puppy this week and he is really cute!  He named him Sherlock because he is always getting into things!

He is a black lab mix and about 9 weeks old.

He's very playful!

I liked this one because he looks like he's smiling!

Sleeping on the kitchen floor.

Playing with his rope.
He likes sleeping under the sofa!

What is Your Job?

If someone asks you what your job is, what is your answer?

Out of the many different things that you could say how often do you tell them that you are a child of God? Although most people think that its not, it is a job that God gave us. Think about the things that Jesus tells us to do, feed the poor, tend the sick, take care of widows and orphans, and do all to the glory of God!

Its a full time job! And its one that we should be more aware of, and don't be ashamed of it. Tell people!

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Field Trip!

On Sunday we had been driving by the river and we noticed that the Bald Eagles are here, so yesterday we decided that we would try to find a place that we could get closer to them (by the river there is a railroad track and it's private property).
(If you look really close there is a eagle in the middle on this picture) :)

We ended up finding this great park that's on a island in the river! We did not get to see the eagles very close up, but they were down on the ice so all of the pictures I got were blurry. :(

While at the park we saw Bluebirds and a Woodpecker but they were far back in the woods so the pictures are not very good. Sorry.
This is the Bluebird.

long Grasses in a field.

We took a long drive through the country after we left there, the sky was beautiful! There where lots of dark clouds but the sun was out.
An empty field.

I Love this tree, it was standing out in the middle of nowhere.

                                                                                                                                                             More Sky pictures!

We also went to another park and I got a couple pictures from a overlook.

On the way home from Church we saw eagles in the trees by the river.

Weekly Verse: Isaiah 26:3-4

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Some Thoughts

Last night as I had my Bible reading time, I thought of something that had not occurred to me before.
In the Bible it talks about many people and it's not always just the good things about them. What if those people would have known that one day a book would be written about them-would they have thought twice about some of the things they did?

OK, so what about us? What if someday your life is written down for everyone to see? What you are doing right now? Is it something you would want your family to know? your friends? your pastor? If not then why do we do them?  If it's not honoring to God then don't do it!

A Gift.

This year for Christmas one of my brothers gave me a Bible.  We often forget the true meaning of Christmas and it was a great reminder of what is really important!

What a wonderful gift to receive on Christmas!
