Geese Landing!

We were at a park a few weeks ago on a photo shoot and we saw two geese

 landing on the pond! 

I was able to snap pictures fast enough that you can see each step of their landing! 

If you click on the above picture you can see the feet of the goose on the right are just skimming the water!

Blogging Series Part 2 (Embedding Your Comment Box.)

One thing that I think is VERY important to a blog is a easy to use comment box!

I know many times I go to comment on a blog and you have to click to another page or something and it just feels like to much work. :)

  

1. Go to your blog settings, click on Posts & Comments.

Go to where it says Comments, beside comment location is a drop box. Click on it and select Embedded.

Your comment box should look like the above picture....It's SO much 

easier for your viewers to use!

A Sign of Spring!

In our area seeing the first Crocus is one of the first signs of spring! And as you can tell....

.....OUR FIRST SIGN OF SPRING IS HERE!! :)

We don't even have all of the colors up yet but I LOVE taking pictures of the ones that are up :)

It was so fun to find them already coming up when I first checked this year.....

In other years we have watched for several weeks before seeing even the

 tip of one coming up.........

This last Saturday we looked and could tell that one or two would be opening the next day....

But when we looked Sunday afternoon there were LOTS of them open! :)

I love how their pushing up through the leaves in the picture above....

You will probable be seeing another post with Crocus in it before too long! :P

Vanilla Coconut Cream Cake Recipe!

1. 4 eggs

            2. 2 cups sugar

             3. 2 tsp. vanilla

           4. 2 cups flour

                            5. 2 tsp. baking powder

           6. 1/2 tsp. salt

         7. 1 cup milk

                              8. 1/4 cup melted butter

Mix together eggs, sugar, melted butter, milk and vanilla in a bowl.

 Mix flour, baking powder and 

salt in another bowl and mix the contents of the two bowls together. 

Mix well. 

Pour in a greased 9 x 13" pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min.

Coconut Frosting

-------------------

                          1. 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

2. 3/4 cups butter

   3. 1/2 cup of cream

4. 2 cups coconut

Pour onto hot cake and broil until lightly browned (4-5 min.) 

Serve and enjoy!

A Walk in the Park........

A few weeks ago are area had a day that was about 75 and sunny! We decided to take advantage of that and go to the park. Only...Everyone else had that same idea :( The park was packed but even with all of the people there were still plenty of photo opportunities!  

(Above) This was one of the long grasses that grow at the side of the lake in this park.

One of my brothers (let me rephrase that) ALL of my brothers that were there were throwing rocks into the stream. :) I was able to get this picture of one of them!
