Fresh Hair Soft Wispy UpDo....

Well here is another hairstyle post! =D Can you tell I LOVE doing things with my hair! =P

With this hairstyle I start with my hair wet from the shower and let it air dry until it's almost all the way dry. (It's good to have slightly damp hair for this style)

I bubble it slightly in the front and bobby pin it....

Then I pull up a strands of hair and pin them all around so its like a ponytail on the very top of my head.

Then I curl it around the top of my head and pin it under the edge so they won't show.....

Then to make it look wispy,After it sets for a while I run my hands gently down the sides of my hair (NOT the top of course! lol. Been there, done that.....NOT good!=)

It's a great casual style that stays all day and I LOVE it! =D

I hope Y'all enjoyed this post and found it helpful!

Lessons From Narnia Part 2. Susan

 The first thing I want to say is I'm sorry it's taken so long to get
 this post out :( Hopefully the next ones will be out soon!)

Here is the link for Part 1!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Susan The Gentle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 My first impression of Susan was she takes everything the safe way. She's the scardy cat of the family
There is a note of caution in everything she does. She wants to stay on
 the safe side of everything,

She is also VERY logical (things HAVE to make sense to her)
She's needs to see things to believe them (in Prince Caspian, Susan is the last one to see Aslan because she didn't believe he was there)(It wasn't Logical that He would still be alive after that many years)
oh, and, anybody remember the conversation with the professor? =)
She likes to mother and boss her siblings.

The name that Aslan gave her was Susan the Gentle, And that's exactly what she was. She's gentle and loving with her siblings, she has compassion for people and animals that are in trouble.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She has a tender heart.
~~~~~~~~~~

Her heart was tender toward what Aslan (Jesus) said (After she finally believed!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her biggest problem was Unbelief.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She lacked faith.
she needed the faith of a little child to believe (like Lucy)

I'm very like Susan in one aspect. I like to know exactly what is going to happen! I DON'T like uncertainty! And normally I have to see it to believe it. =)

God wants us to lean on Him, to believe without seeing, to trust Him with our Whole hearts!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*And Susan grew into a tall and gracious woman with
 black hair that fell almost to her feet and the kings of
the countries beyond the sea began to send
ambassadors
asking for her hand in marriage.
 And she was called
Susan the Gentle.*
Hi everyone!
This was a really busy weekend so I'm just doing a post with a lot of pictures
and a little writing (that's the best kind, right?) :D
We passed the church above on the way home from eating dinner with one of my brothers at his work (He works the evening shift till midnight.) It was about dusk and considering that and the fact that we were driving I think the picture turned out well!
Our Tulips!
I transplanted our Strawberry plants this last week!
(There were 33 (Although some were just starts)
Jonquil's in our front yard....
A storm moving in! (Don't you just LOVE those spring storms!) as long as there's no tornado's or Hail I LOVE them! :)
Grape  Hyacinth...
Viburnum bush in bloom!
Daffodils after the rain...
He Is Risen Indeed! :D
Me? Disobedient?
(I wrote this a week or so ago)
This has been a rough week. Well to tell the truth it's been a rough few months!
I've been out of sorts all day and snapping at everyone,
A little while ago my Mom wanted to know what was wrong and although
there were many things"wrong" when I stopped to really look at it none of them were
 the real source of the problem!
  The problem was I've been a disobedient Christian. Yes I'm going to church every Sunday and sometimes reading my Bible but my heart has not been in it, it hasn't excited me like it used to. I had stopped having my devotions everyday and it has become hit and miss. And my prayer life hasn't been any better.
    I was just reading my Bible again a few minutes ago and before I did I prayed and asked God to show me something to help encourage me, and He did!
      34.   Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at
                                     the posts of my doors.
35.   For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord
36.    But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.                                                         Proverbs 8:34-36
                                                             ------------------------------------
                                 I found that the root of my problem wasn't that my life suddenly
                    was awful, it was that I stopped leaning on the One who makes life Wonderful
                                                        and carries us through our troubles!
                                                           ---------------------------------------
                            When life gets tough turn to the One who can carry you through it!
By The Way
I am doing much better now (and working more on devotions and prayer!)
My Vintage Easter Outfit (Part 2)
You can read part 1 here in My Beautiful Vintage Easter Outfit (Part 1)
I LOVE THIS HAT!!! I'm a big fan of Vintage clothing
(Let me rephrase that, Certain kinds of Vintage clothing! :)
And while I've had several winter vintage hats this is the first on I've had the would
 work for spring and summer!
I found it a a church sale last year for a great deal (Along with a few winter hats)
and just couldn't pass it up! :D
It's kind of looks like a sailor hat from some angles......
I did my hair in a low side bun  because of the netting on the side.......
I really enjoyed REALLY dressing up for once! :)
I LOVE the 40s - 50s look of the hat!
I used a large Bobby Pin to hold the hat in the middle of the top and a couple of
small ones on the sides.
Did you dress up for Easter?
My Beautiful Vintage Easter Outfit (Part 1)
Here is my Easter Sunday Outfit! :D I don't mind telling you that Easter Sunday is one
 of my FAVORITE Sundays of the year (I think Christmas is the only one that ranks
 higher :) But Valentines day is a close second!)
First thing I want to say is Thanks! to my Mom for taking most of these pictures! Easter Sunday is very busy and it felt like too much work to get the tripod out and set everything up :P
Thanks Mom!
As you've probable figured out I LOVE to dress up! :) I guess I'm still a little girl in that way ;)
Okay, on to the outfit! :)
The Dress!
A couple of weeks ago one of my good friends said she had cleaned out her closet
 and had some things she thought I might be interested in (They were dresses she made herself!) I (of course!) said yes! (you know how much I LOVE clothes :)
This dress was one of them! Yay! Instant Easter dress with a few added accessories!
The Jacket!
My Mom picked this jacket up at one of our thrift stores last week and it went just perfectly with the dress! (It added to the 40's 50's feel of it)
The Shoes
I found these shoes at a church garage sale a couple of years ago
 (I have no idea how much they were :P) and again they have the vintage look!
I LOVe the back of the dress! :)
I added a pair of vintage looking pink rose earrings too.
And last of all here is THE HAT! I LOVE this hat! :D This was the one thing about my outfit that was truly VINTAGE! And..........You can read about that in Part 2!
