What Is Faith?

                                                                 

                                                                     What is faith?

                          Okay, so I decided to do a little study of the word faith.
                                   In the Bible concordance the word faith has a few
                                things it could mean and the verses that go with them.

                           Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
                                                              the evidence of things not seen.
                                                                                     Hebrews 11:1

                       I like the first word. NOW. It doesn't say faith used to be, it says now.
                                   At this time! It still is the substance of things hoped for,
                                                    the evidence of things not seen!

                           Okay, so I decided to do a little word study of the word faith.
                  In the Bible concordance the word faith has a few things it could mean,
                                           here are the words that I found.
                                    ------------------------------------------------------------------

                                                                                1. Loyalty
                                                                 2. Belief
                                           3. Reliance
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------

                                           That's really cool if you think about it! It means
                                               1. Loyalty (sticking with someone/thing)
                                               2. Belief    ( believing in it)
                                               3. Reliance  (relying on it)
              So you stick with your faith, believe in God, and Rely on Him 

                                    For we walk by faith, not by sight.
                                                                        2nd Corinthians 5:7

                                             So we've seen so far that faith is.........
                          substance for hope, evidence of thing we can't see and we walk by
                                faith and not sight. So how about adding another to the list?

                 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope
                                                           of righteousness by faith.
                                                                                          Galatians 5:5

   

                                      The word Faith is written 247 times in the Bible.
   
                                        It is talked about so many times in the Bible.
                       I also thought it was cool that in all of those times
                                 it was talked about, all but 2 of them were in the
                                                          New Testament.

                                                   The Bible is about faith in Jesus.
