In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Genesis 1:1
For a minute lets take the first part of the verse, in the beginning GOD. Just think about that, we are always doubting God, we might not mean to but we are, How many times o you not pray about something because you think God is too busy, or he won't answer soon enough so why even try? Or maybe you think he doesn't care?
Ok on to the second part of the verse created the heaven and the earth. He created everything including you and me.Why are we so hesitant to let the God of the universe who Loves us help us? It's so silly to keep holding onto all of this weight and pain when we could get free from it by laying it at our Savior's feet.
He has been here since the beginning and he will always be here, so who is a better person to take your pain and sorrows to? He made the entire universe, and yet he cares for you!
Remember he already knows everything and He is just waiting for you to trust Him enough to give Him your burdens.

My kids have been working on memorizing Genesis 1, so this very first portion of the Bible is so special to us now! I love that God is sure to point out that it was He that was in the beginning & no one else. :) Thanks for sharing, I found you on the growing homemakers link-up.
